Orana Gardens leadership have been kept busy, implementing the ongoing Aged Care. Most recently, we are navigating the changes in Residential Aged Care funding, wage increases and an increase to mandatory care minutes. All of which are designed to increase the care delivered to valued residents.
Frontline care staff will see an increase in their wages this month, however, staff in support services will unfortunately have to wait for the next round of wage reviews (Stage 3). As an industry, we rely heavily on staff that support our frontline care staff, so this will be watched very closely, with the hope that all staff will be paid accordingly.
The increase in care minutes has seen us actively recruit and attempt to employ more staff.
